It's time to go back to blogging and since it's been a while I have several updates. First of all, Orange Portrait Photography is working on a studio Boudoir book to be printed with Cypress Albums. This fabulous shot was taken at our studio with Virginia Petrucci and Salon 9's awesome MUA/hair job.

Such a pleasure shooting them. The available light was magical. I helped myself with old good Norman, battery powered and retrofitted with PocketWizzard transmitter so that I don't have to trip on wires and constantly plug in the PC or jack back to it's socket. It's good to know that that I am not the only madman doing engagement & wedding with medium digital. Check out the guy from down under using Phase One very much like mine here

Emily's photo shoot in Orange

Angela is a Polynesian dancer and runs her
own dance studio and group called Te Varua Ori. It was really fun to take her portrait and breathtaking to see her dance. It's been said many times how difficult it to capture dance. Hopefully I will be able to shoot more of her dance group and in the meantime, here are some shots from yesterday's session in he studio and in my "backyard".

Marek and his student in Oceanside

One hour in Oceanside's Airport was more than enough to take a portrait of Marek who frequently flies with his students from Phoenix, AZ to various small airports in California. Polaroid, still exists in our digital lightrooms, and so do all other emulsions with their grain and frames. All shots taken with 5DMkII and 35mm f1.4. © Slav Zatoka
